DENIAL OF MBI SELANGOR’S INVOLVEMENT WITH BERNAM MARITIME INDUSTRIAL PARK AND BERNAM SHIPYARD

SHAH ALAM, 19 MEI 2026 (SELASA) – Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), or MBI Selangor, refers to recent promotional materials and public announcements relating to a launch event associated with the “Bernam Maritime Industrial Park”, by “Bernam Shipyard Holdings Sdn Bhd” (based on the logo displayed), as well as other related maritime projects that are currently being circulated to the public.

MBI Selangor wishes to emphasise that the said projects, entities and launch event have no connection, support, association or representation whatsoever from MBI Selangor in any capacity.

MBI Selangor takes seriously the unauthorised use of its name, logo and branding elements in promotional and publicity materials related to the said event and projects. Such unauthorised use has the potential to create confusion and misunderstanding among stakeholders, investors, government agencies, business partners as well as members of the public.

MBI Selangor further emphasises that it has no involvement whatsoever in the organisation, management, ownership, promotion or operation of the said projects and launch event. MBI Selangor has also never granted any approval, authorisation, consent or permission for the use of its name, logo, corporate identity or branding materials in relation to these activities.

In this regard, MBI Selangor has undertaken preliminary checks with the Sabak Bernam District Council (“MDSB”), and based on the information currently available, there is no official confirmation linking MBI Selangor and MDSB to the said projects or launch event.

Accordingly, any representation, statement, publication, promotional material or depiction suggesting that the said projects and/or launch event have any connection, support, endorsement or association with MBI Selangor is inaccurate, misleading and unauthorised.

MBI Selangor hereby urges all parties involved to immediately cease the use of its name, logo, branding and/or any form of representation implying an association with MBI Selangor without proper written authorisation.

MBI Selangor reserves the right to take any actions deemed necessary to protect its corporate identity, reputation and legal interests.

Members of the public, stakeholders and all related parties are advised to refer only to official announcements and communications issued through MBI Selangor’s official channels.
