In line with the vision of the Selangor State Government to make Selangor a Smart State in the ASEAN region. By 2025, MBI Selangor has created initiatives in improving the quality of life as well as developing the socio-economy and education. This effort is a continuous commitment of MBI Selangor and its subsidiaries in helping the State Government to develop the state while fulfilling its responsibilities to the people of Selangor.

NEW INITIATIVES

SELANGOR E-SPORTS

Catalyse the e-sports ecosystem by organizing amateur tournament events, as well as providing training & guidance to youths to enter the e-sports industry whether as players, reviewers, team management, event management, and others.

SELANGOR INNOVATION FUND

The Selangor Innovation Fund drives high-tech growth through venture capital investment. Beyond financial support, it provides startups access to Selangor’s ecosystem, including infrastructure, government-linked companies, and the public sector.

E-SUPPLY RETAILERS & SMALL MICRO

Assist micro and small retailers to get supplies efficiently, competitively and swiftly through online methods and provide micro credit loan facilities from Hijrah Selangor for retailers to buy stocks.

SELANGOR E-KITCHEN 2.0

Assist hawkers and small traders (Micro SMEs) to continue to operate online to expand market access to strengthen revenue and conduct operations more competitively and efficiently.

SELANGOR FREELANCER

Creating more flexible employment opportunities and / or additional income for the people of Selangor by promoting the gig economy for jobs that freelancers can do, providing additional financial incentives and working with reputable gig economy platforms.

RAKAN DIGITAL

Assisting the people of Selangor to adapt digitalization in daily life to facilitate, enrich and improve the quality of life as well as build interest among them to use 5G technology so that the people of Selangor will be better prepared for the Industrial Revolution 4.0

DATA INTERNET SELANGOR

Improve accessibility and internet capabilities of the target group for productive usage such as business and learning through income creation applications.

SELANGOR AUTOMOTIVE (TVET)

Aims to reduce the youth unemployment rate in Selangor by creating 2,000 job opportunities for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) graduates in Selangor in the automotive field.

CURRENT INITIATIVES

SELANGOR ADVANCE

An initiative by the Selangor state government is aimed at helping businesses especially Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) that were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The initiative is to help SMEs improve liquidity and cash flow to continue operating especially during the recovery phase.

RUMAH IDAMAN

Rumah Idaman aims to provide affordable homeownership solutions for Selangor citizens, aligning with the state’s housing policy.

E-KITCHEN

Selangor e-Kitchen is a business digitalisation initiative to ensure that the state economy can provide new value creation to citizens.

This initiative helps hawkers and small business owners (Micro SMEs) to continue operating online to expand their market reach.

SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT

To provide an integrated solid waste management solution to the people of Selangor as well as utilising the latest technology in solid waste management through the Smart Selangor Flagship entrance.

WATER MANAGEMENT

To provide the highest attainable service standards to our consumers by providing safe, continuous, accessible and affordable water supply that meets their satisfaction and expectations through improvements in water treatment and distribution systems, and reduction in non-revenue water (NRW).

FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

To ensure the maintenance and restoration of assets and infrastructure owned by the Selangor State Government can be governed well.

SELANGOR FREE WIFI

To provide a wide range of WiFi networks throughout Selangor. This is to enable Selangor to be a state-of-the-art and competitive state, in line with the State Government’s intention to become a Smart State through the empowerment of Internet Of Things (IoT).

EDUCATION

To develop capable and upright professionals and scholars as well as to produce employees with knowledge, skills, ambitious and leadership through integrated education and training in an excellent and conducive learning environment.

TOURISM & CULTURE

To promote Selangor as an extraordinary holiday and event destination. This includes marketing the State, developing, attracting and promoting major sporting, arts, cultural and business events, and supporting major projects that will draw visitors to particular destinations.

PEDULI RAKYAT

Creating, organising, administering and maintaining a fund to be used solely for the benefit and welfare of the people of Selangor born and registered in the State of Selangor on and after January 1, 2008 and producing new entrepreneurs among the low-income people by offering additional capital easily.

RIVER CONSERVATION & DEVELOPMENT

To play a very proactive role to enable the development potential and ensure sustainable social, economic and environmental benefits through the management, conservation, protection, promotion, restoration and development of the riverine and marine resources of the Selangor State Government.

EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAMME (EIP)

EIP’s objective is to create awareness among parents, family members and the community about children’s developmental delay and provide opportunities for low-income families to bring their children aged 1-3 years to undergo screening tests in order to ascertain their development.

I-STATION

To democratise education and reduce in inequalities, providing personalized program for underserved community and upskilling to enhance marketability and employability.

HALAL INTERNATIONAL SELANGOR

The initiative aims to utilise its market capacity so that more organisations can profit from the trade profits. HIS aspires to instil global trade with the trust, integrity, security and security of Halalan Toyyiban for all.
