The stadium’s history dates back more than 28 years with it being Malaysia’s biggest stadium before the completion of Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil in 1998. Located in Section 13, Shah Alam, this multi-purpose sports complex is the official home of Red Giants, Selangor F.C.

On July 15, the state government handed a letter of intent (LOI) to Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd (MRCB) to come up with a proposal for the development of the Shah Alam Sports Complex. The State Government has agreed to establish a Steering Committee and a Working Committee to supervise and monitor the implementation of KSSA Development. A Special Project Unit (UPK) was also established.

The redevelopment of the Shah Alam Sports Complex will include commercial and residential component to further spur economic activities, providing opportunities for the area to be self-sustaining in the future. MBI invites members of the public to share their thoughts and wish lists on the redevelopment of Shah Alam Sports Complex.
